Способ применения:
Взрослым и детям старше 14 лет вводят внутривенно (медленно капельно) по 50-100 мг (1-2 ампулы), до 400 мг (0,4 г) в сутки. В такой же дозе вводят внутримышечно или подкожно. Внутрь назначают (с небольшим количеством жидкости) в капсулах по 50 мг -до 8 капсул (0,4 г) в сутки или в виде капель - по 20 капель (содержат 50 мг трамадола) на прием в небольшом количестве воды до 8 раз в сутки.
Можно назначать трамадол в виде ректальных (для введения в прямую кишку) свечей, содержащих по 0,1 г (100 мг), по 1 свече до 4 раз в сутки.
При внутривенном введении оказывает анальгезируюшее действие через 5-10 мин, при введении внутрь - через 30-40 мин. Действует в течение 3-5 ч.

Побочные действия:
Трамадол относительно хорошо переносится, не вызывает в обычных дозах выраженного угнетения дыхания и существенно не влияет на кровообращение и желудочно-кишечный тракт. Может, однако, вызывать тошноту, рвоту, головокружение, потливость.

Противопоказания:
Нельзя назначать трамадол при острой алкогольной интоксикации (отравлении); больным с повышенной чувствительностью к наркотическим анальгетикам; больным, принимающим ингибиторы МАО . Беременным назначение должно производиться с особой осторожностью. Детям до 14 лет препарат не назначают.
Препарат не следует применять длительно (во избежание привыкания /ослабления или отсутствия эффекта при длительном повторном применении/).

Форма выпуска:
Капсулы с содержанием 0,05 г (50 мг) препарата по 10 и 20 штук в упаковке; капли (с содержанием в 1 мл 100 мг препарата) во флаконах по 10 штук в упаковке; ампулы емкостью 1 мл с содержанием 50 мг (0,05 г) в 1 мл и емкостью 2 мл с содержанием 50 мг в 1 мл (всего в ампуле 100 мг) по 5 и 50 штук в упаковке; ректальные свечи с содержанием 100 мг (0,1 г) в упаковке по 5 штук.
